O Clube foi fundado no dia 7 de outubro de 1984, tendo como primeiro diretor o irmão Nonato. Posteriormente, o clube ficou um tempo inativo e foi reativado no ano 2000 com o nome de Clube Jovens da Paz; no entanto, no ano seguinte, foi renomeado com o nome de fundação: Clube Águia de Haia, em homenagem ao estadista brasileiro Rui Barbosa.
