O Clube Pioneirinhos do Rio tem este nome em homenagem ao primeiro batismo Adventista ocorrido no Brasil. O Rio Piracicaba foi o 'tanque batismal' deste grande evento que aconteceu em abril de 1985, sendo Guilherme Stein Jr. o primeiro batizado.
O Clube pertence ao Espaço Novo Tempo e atualmente é composto por 23 Aventureiros.
