No dia 28 de julho de 2020, foi votado a mudança do nome do clube,
a direção do clube alegou que o nome ARCO ÍRIS causava bulling,
por conta do arco iris ser o simbolo que foi adotado pelo movimento
LGBT. A comissão da igreja achou por bem alterar o nome para
GUARDIÕES DA ALIANÇA.
