O clube de Desbravadores Farol do Atlântico foi fundado em 11 de março de 1999, na cidade de Balneário piçarras, por Débora Soares e Jakson J. Dos Passos. O primeiro acampamento que o clube participou foi no ano de 2000 na cidade de timbó.
