O clube The Lions foi fundado dia 19/09/2015 onde realizou-se a primeira reunião na escola Catulé,localizada no bairro José Castro.
Iniciou com o desejo de Ilziane Pessoa da Silva em fundar um clube no seu bairro(José Castro) com um único objetivo,ganhar almas pra Jesus, a mesma ocupa o cargo de Diretora onde conta com toda sua direção para o desempenho do clube.
